| Personal History | T'Arel's parents were killed not long after her birth and she was brought up by her 'God parents' the Madisons. James Madison and T'Arel's father, Shon were close friends having met at the Academy. The Madisons are the only family T'Arel knows. At school she excelled in the hard sciences (Chemistry, Physics and Biology). Following the footsteps of both her fathers, she joined Starfleet. She spent 5 years at the Academy graduating with a double Major in Engineering and Science. Upon graduation she was assigned to the USS Hogarth as a structural engineer. During her off hours she would study Forensic engineering, a pursuit aided by her background in both science and engineering. During her second assignment, this time aboard the USS Jefferson a EMS manifold exploded. While replacing the parts, she discovered a flaw in the original parts manufacture, the wrong metals were used in its construction. This led to a recall of all EMS manifolds produced by that supplier and an investigation into their practices. |
