| Personal History | Margaret was born on a starship and spent most of her life in space. Her father served in the USMC and achieved the rank of colonel before retiring. Her mother was a nurse. As a child, Margaret liked to play in sickbay when she wasn't in school. In her room, she'd line up her teddy bears and treat their wounds, often wrapping them in bandages. As soon as she finished school, she joined Starfleet and became a nurse herself. Margaret was given the nickname of "Hot Lips" after one assignment where the medical department was sent down to a planet to help a colony that had been snowed in. She revived a man who was thought frozen to death. Her story is that he was young and handsome and she felt sorry for the life he wouldn't live and wasn't going to give up on him. When she gave him mouth-to-mouth, he revived. (Others say it was because she was caught kissing him in the linen closet.) |
